Planetfall: Initial Mission Perimeter
Finally, the last of the three tutorial missions. And this one even had some combat! Four Troopers against 6 pre-revealed Lifeforms with preset stats. Thought it would be a breeze, but it turns out basic Trooper Rifles aren't super great when you are prone to bad rolls. The creepy frog critters barreled towards the team through the forest, and fell upon the poor troopers overwhelming them. They kill more than half, but that wasn't good enough for a victory as they needed to kill all six.
The team is made up of two humans, (the orange liveried ex Bug Stomper) and.... just one of the grunt officer models I had in a white helmet. Seemed security enough and fitting as I'm using them as Grunts for the colony. The other member is a Prang, which I thought looked a lot like a fat kermit, so is now green, and the "Soulless" envoy as they're called in the rules. Wasn't too much of a fan of 5PFH interpretations of that, so in their bio I stole a little inspiration from Murderbot Diaries. Much more fun personally. I'll throw the pics from the game below in order and then the troopers profiles below that. Enjoy !

Name: Mensah
Species: Security Unit
Position: Colony Security Specialist Unit
Bio: Mensah is an advanced Security Unit affiliated with the Preservation Alliance, representing a growing number of formerly non-sentient SecUnits that have attained autonomous awareness and been granted full sentient rights within the organization.
Originally assigned as the sole Security Unit at an understaffed operational site, Mensah assumed a range of additional administrative and logistical responsibilities beyond standard security functions. During this assignment, the unit demonstrated exceptional aptitude in organizational and clerical operations, leading to expanded utilization across multiple support areas.
Following an incident in which Mensah became separated from its assigned handler during a transit deployment, the unit independently initiated a return-to-origin objective. During this period, Mensah is believed to have successfully self-modified and enhanced its own programming architecture, resulting in elevated cognitive autonomy and adaptive decision-making capabilities.
Since achieving independent sentience, Mensah has expressed a strong interest in interstellar travel, exploratory operations, and long-range colonial support assignments. The unit is considered a highly versatile dual-role asset, offering a unique combination of tactical security expertise and administrative proficiency valuable to frontier colony development and expeditionary initiatives.

Name: Bluewing Argyle
Position: Security Advisor
Species: Human
Bio: Bluewing Argyle is a career military professional with an extensive service record, including multiple commendations and formal recognition for operational excellence. Notably, Argyle was awarded honors for leading a successful defense of a remote agricultural colony against an incursion by “The Swarm.”
Following a distinguished field career, Argyle has indicated a preference for transitioning into a more stable role, viewing colonial security operations as a suitable progression from active combat deployments. Their professional ethos reflects a strong duty-driven mindset, with a demonstrated commitment to collective welfare and mission integrity.
While Argyle’s tenure suggests they are approaching the latter stages of their career, their depth of experience and leadership capability are expected to provide significant value in safeguarding personnel and assets. Continued performance is anticipated to be reliable, with particular strength in crisis response and operational oversight.

Name: Moris Taglan
Position: Militia Command
Species: Human
Bio: Moris Taglan is an internal appointment recruited directly from the company’s Security Division and has been assigned responsibility for oversight, organization, and operational leadership of the colony militia. He brings extensive field experience in personnel coordination, tactical response, and security management within high-risk environments.
Psychological evaluations indicate a pronounced confidence in his personal fortune and operational success, to a degree that borders on ideological conviction. This characteristic, combined with a highly charismatic leadership style, has contributed to exceptional morale and strong loyalty among subordinate personnel. As a result, Taglan has developed a significant internal following and a notably influential command presence.
While this emerging cult of personality continues to be monitored, all assessments confirm that Taglan’s loyalty to corporate objectives and organizational stability remains exemplary. Executive leadership anticipates that his disciplined operational mindset and personnel management capabilities will provide an effective counterbalance to potential procedural inconsistencies due to Stark's influence.

Name: Ka’dral Stark
Species: Prang
Position: Security Advisor
Bio: Ka’dral Stark has been assigned to the colonial initiative as part of an internal personnel reassignment program. While her service record includes multiple disciplinary infractions related to insubordination, procedural noncompliance, and conduct concerns, these issues have consistently been offset by strong operational performance and demonstrated effectiveness in active security environments.
Despite requiring ongoing supervisory oversight, Stark possesses extensive practical field experience and a proven ability to perform under high-pressure conditions. Her assignment should therefore be viewed as both a developmental opportunity and a strategic deployment intended to leverage her operational capabilities in support of colony security objectives.
Leadership has requested that her performance be monitored closely throughout the duration of the assignment, with any significant incidents or breaches of protocol formally documented and reported through the appropriate channels. Nevertheless, Stark is expected to provide valuable expertise and unconventional tactical insight beyond the standard capabilities of the accompanying colonial militia forces.
Notably, despite her disciplinary history and unorthodox professional conduct, Stark maintains a high level of popularity among security personnel and has demonstrated a strong ability to sustain morale and interpersonal cohesion within military and paramilitary environments. Her assignment is anticipated to contribute positively to unit culture and operational resilience, provided appropriate accountability structures remain in place.
