Haven't posted in awhile, but I also! Don't have new minis painted, oops. I do have a good chunk of terrain worked on though, and have started posting over on Lead Adventure too!

A lot of the terrain is in various half finished states, but between the urban stuff, the trees and some (garden) rocks I currently have drying off to make (wargame) rocks, I feel like I'm in a pretty solid position terrain wise.  The urban board needs more styrene ordering to continue work on the pavement too whoops.

As for my talk of starting a 5PFH campaign....well that session 0 I posted about may get put on hold. Turns out Nordic Weasel released their Planetfall colony running game in the same universe, and I got the idea of using that to develop a planet from its early days and use 5 Parsecs and 5 Leagues travel rules to play around in a one planet sandbox of landship RV roadtripping mercs more in the style of Borderlands. So will have to see how that goes. Anyway, time for pictures.

Some soldiers and some terrain.

 Got the first enemy group for Five Parsecs From Home painted up, and a little terrain in the works. The original plan was to do the not-space orks, but I got half way through and decided I hated the paintjob on them so changed tracks to the Generic Soldier Types to avoid ramming my head into the wall on the orks. The minis are Neu Swabian League from Ground Zero Games. Primed black, heavy dry brush with a Wizard Grey (2 Thin Coats), trying to hit the panels while keeping the black recesses. Hit it with a Nuln wash (GW), and went back over with another drybrush of Wizard Grey following with a lighter drybrush of Carcharodon Grey (2TC). The weapons were done in a basic silver (Dark Steel from Vallejo Mecha Colour was the first one I picked up) with a black wash and a little silver touch up. Returning to wargaming with 15mm Five Parsecs

 Guess who is ostensibly back after what, three? Four? Years of not posting on here. A lot changed. I got super busy volunteering with a wargames store locally and even moved house. Said store is now closed while pending a hopeful move to a new location, and my new apartment has a good bit more floor space, which means hopefully more games. Specifically: Solo wargames!  I've already tried my hand at several solo journaling style RPGs, but next to try is my hand at Five Parsecs From Home. So, I've picked up a new table, sized it out to see what kind of space and terrain I'm working with (specifically in 15mm) and rolled up a crew. I'll be working in 15mm for two reasons. One; I'm still unemployed so 15mm is as ever a nice economic solution with still a lot of character (and I have a good few minis in that scale already). TYOV- Experience 1

 Prompt 5: Kill someone you love to stop them from exposing you. (I checked off the woodcarving skill). Added to Memory 1. I try acting like nothing happened. A lot of people went missing that night, only some were found but fewer still were still alive. I hide my torso and wrap a sack of hay under my clothes to make me look...normal. It works for awhile. The skin healed but my insides won't come back. What I can't hide is my hunger. God but I am hungry all the time. Nothing I eat fills me. It's not till I find myself elbow deep in sheep gore one night that I realize what I need to eat. This fills me for awhile. My Father is carving with me one evening and slips. Cuts himself. Blood comes out of his hand. It's not the first time it's happened, but something is different this time. I can't stop staring at the wound. My mouth waters.
